Giorgio Armani and Samsung Electronics today unveiled the Emporio Armani Samsung Mobile, Night Effect.
Designed by Giorgio Armani and made by Samsung, the Emporio Armani Night Effect is equipped with an AMOLED display and LED light effects. The 2.2-inch QVGA screen offers deeper, richer colors, providing for a vivid view. The side lights up in red, green or blue colors every time users are called or make calls. The illuminating LEDs came from Giorgio Armani's trips to Tokyo where the Armani/Ginza tower is lit-up with decorative lights in the shape of bamboo leaves. The sleek body is designed to provide for a rubber-like feel and a hair-lined keypad and reinforced glass display offer a simple, sturdy elegance. The Emporio Armani logo in metal is adorned on the back with a hidden external speaker. The graphical user interface (GUI) and audio user interface (AUI) includes special Emporio Armani compositions as ringtone. The Night Effect has an embedded 3.2-megapixel camera, music-control key, FM radio, standard 3.5mm audio jack, and support for microSD cards plus 120MB internal memory. Downloading large files, streaming videos, and holding video conversations are easier with HSDPA speeds as fast as 3.6 Mbps. With Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0, users can connect to peripherals including wireless headsets and mobile printing. The handset comes with a neck strap, earphone and a CD-like fabric package case. "Paris may be known as The City of Lights, but Tokyo is The City of Neon Lights by night-time," said Giorgio Armani. "For this young, cool, and social crowd, the Night Effect mobile is the perfect accessory." With black and white color options, the Night Effect will be available in major European countries from November. After being launched in Europe, the phone will come to South East Asia and Middle East Asia in this year.
