Samsung is once again showing its green side with the E200 Eco candybar cell phone. With its entire outer casing made from corn-based bioplastics, the E200 Eco is a milestone in ecological electronics. The E200 also features a built-in alarm that reminds you to unplug the charger once the phone's battery is full.
The Samsung E200 is surprisingly well featured, with a 1.3 megapixel camera, video messaging, and a built-in MP3 player. While there is not any concrete evidence that corn-based bioplastics really help the environment, it certainly doesn't hurt to see handset manufacturers attempting to do their part.
