Expanding the Cyber-shot W-series, the latest W220 and W210 camera’s features include 12.1 megapixels resolution, Carl Zeiss lens with 4x optical zoom, 30mm wide angel lens, ISO 3200 high sensitivity mode for simpler shooting in difficult conditions, Smile Shutter with Face Detection and Intelligent Scene Recognition.

Both the cameras also come with a 2.7-inch LCD screen, support for high-definition slideshows, optional HD cable to connect to BRAVIA television.

The W210 sports SteadyShot image stabilization function, while the W220 features optical SteadyShot image stabilization. The W-series cameras also support Picture Motion Browser version 4.2.

Coming to the next Cyber-shot camera, the Sony S950 comes with features like a 10.1 effective megapixel resolution, 4x zoom, 2.7-inch screen, six easy-to-use Scene Selection modes, Easy Shooting mode, enhanced Face Detection with support for up to eight faces, SteadyShot image stabilisation and a special High Sensitivity mode (max. ISO 3200). It also supports Picture Motion Browser version 4.0 and the latest version of Sony’s image management application.

In addition to leather case, all three Cyber-shot cameras come bundled with a newly developed GPS unit kit GPS-CS3KA that has the ability to geotag data on pictures, maps with Google Earth software and uploaded on major web sharing services.

The Sony Cyber-shot W210, W220 and S950 cameras are expected to be available by February 2009. However, there is no word on pricing.
